Q. What should I put my foundation on with?
A. With liquid foundation use a "Foundation Brush" or your fingers. A Brush will give you a more even coverage than your fingers. I never reccomend using sponges due to the fact that they have to "fill up" before they stop soaking up your makeup. This is a waste of money and is perfect for harboring bacteria. You can also use a brush with a cream to powder foundation. It will give you a softer more sheer coverage. To acheive a heavier coverage, you will need to use a sponge. It is best to change out your sponges every two weeks.
Q. How do I apply foundation with a brush?
A. Foundation Brushes use synthetic brissles that are designed to provide a smooth, even finish, flawless look. Tap out a little foundation onto perm papers, makeup place mats, or construction paper. Drag some out with the brush and blot unil you see the brissles start to spread. Start at the forehead going up to the hair line. Go down on the rest of the face (every woman has a little bit of hair on their face and you want to lay it down). Blend through the jaw line. Another quick tip is to use the side /top of your hand. I have done this for weddings when no paper was available.
Q. When using concealer, should I put it over or under my foundation?
A. Unless you are using a powder foundation only, it is better to put it on over your foundation. Apply with a brush and then pat, don't rub, with your finger.
Q. Why do I need a Powder?
Powder sets your foundation making it last longer throughout the day. Using a "Powder Foundation" will give your foundation added coverage.
